Ne-Yo & Akon Bring the Hits to Massachusetts Tonight

Static Line Sounds

There are certain concerts that instantly transport you back to a specific time in your life.

For R&B fans, tonight is one of those nights.

Ne-Yo and Akon are bringing their Nights Like This Tour to the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, giving New England fans a chance to relive an era that helped define the soundtrack of the 2000s and early 2010s. The Massachusetts stop is part of their 57-city co-headlining world tour and promises a night packed with hit after hit.

And yes...

Static Line Sounds will be there.

We'll be covering the concert, capturing the atmosphere, talking with fans, and bringing you exclusive photos and videos from one of the biggest R&B shows to hit Massachusetts this summer.

A Night Full of Hits

If you've followed either artist over the years, you already know this won't be a show where fans are waiting for one or two songs.

This is a catalog concert.

Ne-Yo built his career on timeless records like:

So Sick Sexy Love Because of You Miss Independent Closer Champagne Life One in a Million

Akon counters with one of the most recognizable hit catalogs of the 2000s:

Lonely Smack That I Wanna Love You Don't Matter Right Now (Na Na Na) Beautiful Locked Up

The tour has been featuring a long, high-energy set that blends both artists' biggest solo records along with collaborations and fan favorites, creating a nostalgic experience for longtime R&B fans.

What We Expect Tonight

One thing is almost guaranteed.

The crowd is going to sing.

This isn't the type of concert where fans quietly watch from their seats.

These are songs people grew up with.

Songs that played during first dances.

Graduations.

Road trips.

Late-night drives.

House parties.

The Xfinity Center has hosted some legendary summer concerts over the years, and tonight feels like another one of those nights where thousands of voices become part of the show.

Expect plenty of phone lights.

Expect everyone around you to know every lyric.

Expect one giant singalong.
